This photo of my sweet kitten Dobbie was taken in my home in Colorado. I think that he was looking at a moth on the ceiling. I like this photo because it shows a cats curiosity and playfulness.Time

He was laying on his blanket in a shadow. I think the shadow worked so well with this photo because it makes the cats eyes stand out.Equipment
I used my canon camera with a EFS 55 -250mm zoom lens on the portrait setting.Inspiration

I made it all black and white except the eyes. I left the eyes in color, because they are so striking.In my camera bag
I normally have the 55-250mm zoom lens, a macro lens and the lens that came with my camera.Feedback
For me it was just lucky timing. But if your trying to take pictures of animals, toys and treats are always a great way to get their attention. But if you have a bug crawling on the wall, that works as well. Also knowing the animal helps. My other cat hates flash so I always turn off the flash for her.
