Location
I took this photo in Vail Arizona on an abondoned dirt road off the highway.Time
I took this photo at 5pm right at sunset.Lighting
I shot this intentionally at golden hour right when the sun was setting to get the perfect Backlighting.Equipment
This was shot with a Canon 1DX with the 24-70mm and I used a reflector.Inspiration
I was inspired by a very rough situation I had went through. This photo is called the Fenix to represent rising up into light after darkeness.Editing
This photo was a compilation of four images. I had to do multiple takes to get the perfect flow of the fabric and her hair to make this photo flawlessly fit together. I used Photoshop to edit this entire photo. In my camera bag
I primarily use my Canon 1DX. If I'm taking portraits I usually stick to my 50mm or my 85mm. I also have my 24-70mm as well as the fun fisheye 8-15mm for some creative shots!Feedback
I would suggest using a tripod to make it easier to compile your images in processing! To get a strong back late without losing detail in your subjects face, I suggest using off-camera flash or a reflector to maintain good exposure and white balance.
