This image was taken in the evening when it got dark. I enjoyed working with this couple as they are fun to work with and I managed to get some great shots.Lighting
The lighting I used here was the natural light and one flashgun in a soft box.Equipment
I used my Canon 7D camera with Canon Lens 24-105 f/4, Canon 580 EXII flashgun, 60cm soft box, Cactus triggers and light stand.Inspiration
This model asked me if I can take some photos of her and her boyfriend. I loved the idea since I wanted to do a similar a shoot like this for a while. I love the contrast between the black man a nd white woman.Editing
Post processing was minimal, some dodge and burn, contrast and converting it to black and white.In my camera bag
In my bag I always carry my two Canon SLR bodies a 7D and a 5D MKIII, one Canon Speedlight 600EX RT, four Canon L series lenses 17-40mm f/4, 24-105mm f/4, 50mm f/1.8 and 70-200mm MKII f2.8. When I go for model shoots I carry threee light stands, 3 Yongnuo 565 speed lights, two 30" umbrellas, one 30" softbox and one 60" soft box.Feedback
First thing, planning is a must. Seeing other photographers work teaches you and you get your own ideas. Knowing the place you are shooting is a must. Learning from other photographers in workshops helps a lot. Always accept critique and learn from it.
