Location
I took this photo at a viewing area above Flaming Gorge Reservoir where the canyon opens up and you start to drop down to the reservoir. This was my first ever view of Flaming Gorge.Time
This was taken mid morning, about 10:30 or 11:00 AM.Lighting
I really didn't think about lighting specifically, just the beautiful view.Equipment
I used a Sony H300 that I had just received as a retirement gift. I was just beginning my photography hobby.Inspiration
It was just a beautiful breathtaking view and I was excited to begin learning photography in such a beautiful place.Editing
The only post processing of this photo was clarification, and slight raise in saturation. In my camera bag
I now carry a Canon Rebel T3i and kit lens, a 75-300 mm zoom lens, 2 extra batteries, 3 filters, a tri pod and a lens cleaning kit. Of course I have dreams of upgrading and adding a couple of lenses to my bag.Feedback
I am still learning so giving advise is still hard for me but I think this would have been even better with a tripod and remote or timed shutter release.
