This piece symbolises the passage of time in ever decreasing circles and the uneven twisted time lines further symbolising the roller coaster ride that time sends us on through life.
The image is of a 1937 Hunter pocket watch that belongs to my father and symbolises much about my personal fear of time.
Still with plenty to accomplish in life this work represents my fear of the rapid passing of time and the fact that I, as we all, can do nothing but submit to its never-ending power, its constant “Tic Toc Tic Toc” and watch as it passes by at ever increasing speeds.
The moments left to achieve our goals ebbing away with the tides of time.
