Behind The Lens

Location

I tok this photo while visting relatives in South Dakota.

Time

We were walking through a park at mid-day.

Lighting

It was a warm, bright sunny day. We were in bright sunshine when my son caught the snake and I decided to play with depth of field.

Equipment

I was holding my Canon in my hand with whatever lens I thought of as my "walkabout" lens at the time.

Inspiration

I'm always playing. In this case, I was toying around with depth of field.

Editing

Just rotation and cropping. I don't do a lot of post.

In my camera bag

Camera, 50mm, wide angle or fisheye and a macro lens.

Feedback

Play around with it! Take lots of shots varying exposure, aperature, iso, distance to camera, angle to camera and so on. Digital photography has given us freedom ... use it.
