Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Turkey near Iris hotel in Canakkale. It was and abandoned pier right in the beach.

Time

This was shot in the evening at around 6:30 pm just at sunset.

Lighting

The lighting was all natural. The setting sun provided a natural drama in the lighting.

Equipment

Camera used was Canon 1000D, along with a 18-55mm lens.

Inspiration

Was walking around the beach when this frame suddenly popped in my mind. Had to take quite a few shots to get the frame and exposure right.

Editing

Did not do much of post processing. Only some minor adjustments in levels

In my camera bag

I usually have a 70-300mm zoom lens, a 40mm prime lens. Extra battery, CPL, extra memory card, Tripod , remote shutter release . I also now use a Canon 60D along with a 18-135mm IS lens.

Feedback

Time of taking the shot is very crucial as the natural light adds a drama to the composition.
