Location
This photo was taken my dining room shortly after we got our kitten home from the breeder. Shumai is a Neopolitan munchkin cat that I gave my fiancé for her birthday.Time
It was around 7-8 pm when this photo was taken so the lighting is not natural. I was experimenting with my camera shutter speed and ISO to see what I could hand hold and still take a sharp picture of.Lighting
The lighting in this picture was just the lighting from my dining room.Equipment
No tripod, shot with my T3i. The lens used is a Sigma Art 30mm 1.4. No flash was usedInspiration
I started photography by taking pictures of my cars and I want to try taking pictures of other things so I started taking picutres of my pets and my son.Editing
I'm still very new to post-processing and photography all together. This was a single picture edited in lightroom with most adjustment made to the highlights, shadows, contrast and clarity. In my camera bag
With my T3i, I always carry my Sigma Art 30mm F1.4 and my 24-105 F4. I have a BW circular polarizer and cheap ND filter that I use on sunny days and when I need to get rid of nasty reflections. I always carry a mini tripod with me in case I would ever need it.Feedback
Take lots of pictures from different angles and don't be afraid to crouch down or get lower on your subject especially if it's a small animal.
