Location
This photo was taken on my property in Far North Queensland, Australia. We live in a rural area that was once predominantly dairy farms but with the demise of the dairy industry dairy farms are few and far between.Time
Oh I think this photo was taken at around 5 or 6 in the morning. We have glorious, foggy mornings that turn into amazing, sunny days. I remember running outside to capture the sunrise before the fog completely disappeared.Lighting
I wanted this pic to capture exactly what I was seeing. It took a few shots to get it right and a few tweaks to get the nice shadows in the foreground.Equipment
This was taken with my Nikon D5200 without any other equipment. Maybe I used a fencepost to help me steady the camera. I can't remember which lens it was taken with but it could have been my Tamron 24-70 2.8.Inspiration
I had been wanting to capture our beautiful early morning sunrises but often missed them (I have two children under 5 and I work full time). I quickly took the shot before heading off to work.Editing
This particular photo didn't have much processing done to it; perhaps some shadow bought down in the foregroundIn my camera bag
I have recently hired a Nikon D750 but sadly this has to go back soon. I own a D5200 with a Tamron 24-70 2.8 and a Nikon 50mm 1.8.Feedback
Timing is everything and taking the time to get the shot right. Playing around with light can create some amazing shots! Good equipment does not always guarantee great shots. Practice is also key, before this shot I was out of an afternoon, every afternoon playing with light and focus.
