Behind The Lens

Location

Playa del Carmen, Mexico

Time

Morning

Lighting

Difficult lighting conditions due to the rock overhang in the cavern and a partly cloudy day. A lot of patience was required waiting for the sun to enter the room.

Equipment

Canon 60d, Canon 18-55 mm zoom, Ikelite housing.

Inspiration

Shot as a gift for my brother and sister-in-law.

Editing

Some minor post processing in Lightroom.

In my camera bag

Canon 60d and 70d. 50mm lens, 18-200 mm lens, 14 mm lens. Ikelite housing.

Feedback

Shooting in the water, both above and below, is a very dynamic situation. A thorough discussion with the models of your goals, as well as techniques for posing are essential to success. Take lots of shots and be sure to review and adjust during the shoot.
