Behind The Lens

Location

I can remember where I captured this photo. I like nature walks and often take the opportunity to capture moments with my phone.

Time

This photo was taken in May 9, 2014, about 17:30. I'd probably be taking a walk with my 9 year old son and while we were playing blowing flowers, I saw that little dandelion and put my phone to try to capture as much detail as possible.

Lighting

the sky was cloudy and there was a sweet but intense light that helped me to improve the capture with the phone.

Equipment

The photo was taken with my smartphone. These days I had a Xiaomi Mi2a and I think that the result was better than I think first.

Inspiration

As I commented before, I use to take a walk many evenings y I like watch and search nature momments to capture. I think that this dandelion was waiting for me.

Editing

I am an active social photographer with my own gallery in many apps like Instagram or EyeEm (@amariaabio). So I like to edit my photographs with mobile apps like Snapseed or Vscocam. In this case I edited it with Snapseed changing a few parameters like contrast and details.

In my camera bag

Normally, my captures are taken with my smartphone, it is lighter than a camera to capture sporadic. But I have an evil Pentax Q for travels and a Canon 1300D with tipical lens EF 18-55 IS for more elaborate photos.

Feedback

Any advice? I do not like to give advice because I think I have more to learn than to teach. Something that always I have in mind is to observe, observe and observe. Make me transparent and have your camera nearby and ready because you never know when you may need it.
