Pilots and bus drivers do "circle checks." They check out all the mechanics of their vehicles. Taking pictures is no different. Every time I go someplace new with my camera I do a "circle check." I check my ISO, shutter speed, lens, etc. No two places are alike, and the light is forever changing!
