Behind The Lens

Location

I take this photo as I was going along my wife and some friends to have lunch in a restaurant set in a forest near a little town in Lazio, Casaprota, Rieti, Italy. On the way I saw the mist in the trees, so I decided to make some shots in solitary.

Time

This photo was taken on january 26, 2014 at about 13.00.

Lighting

There was a wonderful light diffused of the mist. It seems an enchanted forest. I just set the camera and nature did the rest.

Equipment

this was shot on Canon 5D MK III whit 24-105mm f/4 is L USM

Inspiration

The scenario that presents itself to me in front was great, seemed truly an enchanted forest. The fog had enveloped all the trees and the light filtered delicate on the branches. I was bewitched, so got out and walked away into the woods armed with a camera. Truly a unique experience that I repeated a few months later with my wife by staging an adult Little Red Riding Hood. She was pregnant so we played.

Editing

I use LR for my post production. I Shooting in raw format, so I open the file in LR and then I set the levels and sharpering mask in PS.

In my camera bag

in my backpack there is always the Canon 5D MK III, the 24-105mm F / 4 and recently the 16-35mm F / 2.8 L is. As a second camera body using an old analog Canon recognizes my lenses.

Feedback

The only advice I can give is to not be lazy and go towards nature in hours or weather conditions that makes normal people stay home. Yes, because those who love photography is a madman who care only photographing
