YES, straight out of the camera! I love doing extreme macro that doesn't look 'scientific'. The more you magnify the subject the narrower the focal plane gets. It's critical to place the focus where you want and the rest will magically blur! I LOVE the effect, I also like the challenge of making macro shots like this not only interesting but pretty (instead of scientific details)

While the rest of the macro enthusiasts are striving to 'focus stack' for tack sharp macro, I prefer an 'artistic' approach and utilize 'intentional blur' or selective focus techniques to create a more artistic rendering of the subject. Thanks for your iinterest and PEER AWARD!
