I took this photo in the campground at Pinnacles National Park in California.Time
This photo was taken around 9 or 10 PM at night. It was the last group of photos I took before calling it a day.Lighting
I was lucky that it was a new moon that night so I could get the maximum exposure time that I could. I spent almost the entire night shooting the night sky in the wrong direction. This was the last group of photos I took before calling it a day. I decided to figure out what the other half of the sky looked like and to my surprise, I saw this.Equipment
I used a Canon T2i DSLR and a Tokina 11-16 mm lens on a tripod.Inspiration

I stacked multiple images together after aligning them to reduce the noise. Then I color corrected it in Photoshop. In my camera bag
I usually have 1 or 2 camera bodies, my Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8, a Canon 17-55mm f/2.8, and Canon 50mm f/1.4. I also cary my tripod and a remote shutter with me.Feedback
Do your research beforehand and figure out the direction, the light pollution level of the area you are going to, and figure out what the landscape is like. I spent the majority night shooting in the complete opposite direction before getting this photo.
