In nature, in order to foster the generation of genetic innovations, of new different individuals and ideas (that is, the generation of biodiversity, which is essential for any ecosystem for staying alive), the collaboration between individuals is much more important than the competitive processes. Competition between the new ideas, individuals or species operates later as one of the natural selection mechanisms. In nature, competition does not generate innovation; selects it. Genetic innovations appear mainly thanks to cooperative processes, like symbiosis, the transfer of genes (ideas), the hybridization of races, of individuals, of species, the collaboration and even the merger of cells and bodies. When nature pursues innovation, collaboration is all.
