Darwinism gives more importance to competition than to cooperation in the evolutionary process of life. However, life at its molecular level is essentially a synergic, non-competitive phenomenon, where the different biochemical components cooperate, work together in order to produce life, something much bigger than the sum of the parts (synergy comes from the Greek “synergos” that means "work together" –it does not mean “severances”, as it is uninspiringly used today).
