Amazing and very surreal. I was chest high in water with my camera right to my eye. I had to sacrifice my fully clothed body to get a beautiful shot of the sunset and lanterns.

Nice work. Beautiful warm color and great comp. Love the reflective glow.

I have a fixed prime lens which is my 50mm f1.8, a normal walk around lens which is my kit lens and a telephoto 75-300mm. With a slave dedicated flash and a couple of extra batteries and a gopro.Feedback
Be prepared to have something that can handle well in low light as the sun is consistently changing every minute meaning your lighting will change. Tripod, tripod, tripod is a must if you want a still photo. I got lucky with this shot because I sacrificed my fully clothed body and my camera gear in chest high salty ocean water so it's best to have a tripod to mount your camera on so you don't have to worry about dropping your gear in the water. A flash would help just to supplement the foreground lighting if you miss your chance at the shot when the sun has already set below the horizon.
