I'm a tad obsessed with water.
This is as low tech as you can get (and still be digital). The white is my white fence in the back yard - bright day, high shutter speed (yipppeee). I went through a ton of food coloring (and fingers were thoroughly dyed). Camera was on a tripod with a cheapie 2x filter on prime lens. While one finger would hit the shutter and take about 8 frames a try, my other hand was reaching over the glass with a straw holding water that I would drop. I'm just amazed how many shapes showed up.

This is really, really great! Also - every time I look at water drops I want to try them - but had no idea how to do that! I give you HUGE congratulations for being willing to share what you have learned and how you took the photo!!! It may never work the same for me - but your willingness to share is AWESOME and that to me is what sharing ones passion about photography is all about! I wish you well in this contest!
