I loved taking pictures of this particular Mill. It has a lot of history behind it and it is still a working Mill. They sell the product on site and give tours and have old machinery and pictures on display inside the mill.Editing
I did very little post processing. I just did the basics in lining the horizon and such. Like i said it was a beautiful fall day and everything was just right. Something i had been waiting for. Kept driving over there every few days with my dog watching for just the right moment to get my shot. Patience is a virtue as they say....... :)In my camera bag
I usually have either my Pentax k10 or my Pentax K100 in my camera in my bag. Depends on the weather really on which one i use on that particular day. I pack my 50mm, 70/300mm macro and 18/55 mm plus some filters, extra batteries and a couple of cloths in case of rain even though my k10 camera is waterproof, my k100 is not and neither are the lenses. there is usually a compass for when me and my dog head out on the trails in the mountains with a lighter and matches in a water proof back with a small flashlight and a jack knife as well. oh and a couple of granola bars with a trailmix and couple bottles of waterFeedback
Have patience. Be willing to go back again and again to catch the perfect moment. Never get frustrated when things are not working out the way you wanted them to. it took a couple years of me going back and forth to get this shot as well as a few others. The right moment will come along when you least expect it and it will be a pleasant surprise when it does happen. Good luck!!
