This was taken in the evening. I was having a girls night with my niece. I would give her a few bucks for posing so we could go shopping too.Lighting
I was just learning lighting and it was just a basic set up with continuous lighting using two large lights and hair lighting in the back.Equipment
I think I used my 7D cannon and my cannon 24-70 lens.Inspiration
My youngest niece just loved to have me take her picture. I would collect different things from secondhand shops and yard sales. She would have fun dressing up and posing. Of corse the cats were courious and would have to check out what was going on. She just grabbed a cat and I snapped the picture.Editing
This was taken when I started experimenting with photoshop. I changed the backgrounds, added some texture, brightened the eyes, added sharpening and enhanced the coloring.In my camera bag
In my bag I usually have my camera, spare battery, a cleaning cloth for my lens, cannon 24-70 lens and my cannon 70-300 lens.Feedback
My advice would be, to just have fun with it. Find some kids, experiment with different props and let them experiment with dressing up if they want and just have fun. Of corse grab your cats. Experiment with texture, lighting and coloring in photoshop.
