Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at the Myakka River State Park in Sarasota Florida one of my favorite places for spotting birds and wildlife of all kinds

Time

I imagine it was probably early in the morning, as I am always one of the first ones waiting for them to open the gates at 8 am.

Lighting

No like I said it was more than likely in the morning.

Equipment

My Canon Rebel T3 took this photo :)

Inspiration

I love the migratory birds that are normally in the park in the winter months...although as of lately their hasn't been that many of them. I was really excited to see the Stilt were around but no in abundance just a few birds were in the lake.

Editing

No I'm sure it is just cropped, as it's a little hard to get close to these guys.

In my camera bag

My Canon and a Nikon 1S1 that takes unbelievable landscape photos.

Feedback

The Myakka River State Park normally has a broad range of migratory birds in the winter months. The only problem is that the park is full of winter visitors. I normally visit the park once a week in the summer months, when I have it all to myself. I am able to get up close to the deer, hawks, hogs, gators and birds that are familiar to Florida
