Behind The Lens

Location

Cotton tree on the maroochy river on the Sunshine coast Queensland

Time

Midmorning

Lighting

It was a very bright day so watching the way I took the photo to show the best light was always on my mind

Equipment

I use a pentax d100 with 70/300 Marco lens

Inspiration

The fisherman were feeding the birds the left overs and they were having fun moving there heads up and down to make lovely shots . I tried quite a few different angles to find just the right one

Editing

I only add light or darken and crop a little to make the subject standout

In my camera bag

Just my camera tripod and cleaning gear plus a small 45 lens but find the 70/300 will do most shots from macro to long

Feedback

Watch your light take time and watch the birds before taking photos some birds will stand out more then others ,they will also tend to do different movements always take a few at a time you will always get a good shot
