It is a long process, but worth it. :)

Behind The Lens

Location

I shot this in Petaluma, CA.

Time

It was sometime around noon.

Lighting

The weather was overcast so it was perfect.

Equipment

I used a 5D Canon Mark III and a 50mm lens and a Manfrotto tripod.

Inspiration

I was feeling very overwhelmed at the time. This symbolizes how I felt. The naked girl sleeping soundlessly in the comfort of her home (her nest) and surrounded by the masked demons of the world.

Editing

Oh yes. The was only one demon. I took around 5-7 images and stitched them together to create this one.

In my camera bag

My 5D Mark III a 24-105 mm and a 50 mm and chocolate =).

Feedback

Sketch things out first and be patient. When I was planning this shot, it took me about 2 weeks to fully understand what I wanted. I had an idea of how I wanted it, but I wasn't sure about the setting and the feeling that the image would convey. It is a lot like writing a story.
