Behind The Lens

Location

A week after getting a DSLR for the first time as my birthday gift, I went to my home country, India, for vacation. I took this shot right outside my home during my holidays.

Time

It was evening time, I was sitting on the steps outside my home playing around with my camera, waiting for mom to bring my evening tea.

Lighting

Nature blessed me with the best light for getting this shot perfectly!

Equipment

This was shot on a Canon 1100D with 75-300 mm zoom lens.

Inspiration

I was playing around with my camera and I felt somebody was noticing me!. I looked straight up on to the mango tree right infront of my house, and saw this cat with this curious look which stunned me and I got this shot in no time!

Editing

Yeah I did. My usual processing flow with highlight shadows contrast and vibrance. I just love giving more contrasty look to my photos!

In my camera bag

After packing my camera alongwith the charger n battery , the 1st thing I pack is my Canon 50 mm f1.8 lens. I just love this lens so much. It suits for almost all genres of my photography. Then comes the 18-55 and the 75-300 mm lenses, ND fitters, color flash bouncers, filters and the SD cards.

Feedback

When capturing animals/birds , always try to get a good bokeh background so that there won't be any other distractions from the background and the attention goes to the animals/birds you are clicking!
