This photo was taken at the J.N Ding Darling Wildlife Refugee in Florida. It was a remarkable experience, and I loved capturing every minute of it, including stumbling upon this blue heron. My favorite part about this photo is the background-it looks like it could be a number of things: a cliff, rocks, or water? What does this photo remind you of? :)

J.N Ding Darling Wildlife RefugeeTime
In the late afternoon, around 3 or 4 p.m.Lighting
Late afternoon produces the best lighting in pictures, along with early hours in the mornings around 7 a.m.Equipment
I used a Sony Slt A33 with a telephoto lens.Inspiration
I was inspired by the background especially, because the background looks like it could be a number of things: water, rocks, mountains, etc. (it's actually water :))Editing
This photo did not require any post-processing, just a good eye and a lucky shot :)In my camera bag
I usually have my camera, two lenses(one telephoto), my battery charger, a cleaning cloth, and an extra lens cap because mine always go missing!Feedback
I would recommend following your dream and chasing the early to late afternoon hours. Always be taking pictures, no matter where you are, it helps you develop a keen eye for spot-on photos. Just know, you can do it!! :)
