Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken in Bruges, Belgium.

Time

This was taken at around 11 pm.

Lighting

The city is beautifully lit and on timers - just after the shutter clicked the lights went off. I got this shot just in time.

Equipment

I used a Sony a100 with a Minolta 28-135 lens, a Monfrotto tripod and a cable release.

Inspiration

This beautiful city inspired many photos, this is one of my favorites from that trip.

Editing

I did not have to do much post processing on this. It is an HDR and long exposure.

In my camera bag

The Minolta lens and Monfrotto tripod I use are heavy so I travel light. I usually have a variety of ND filters but not much else.

Feedback

Know your camera and lens. No camera or lens is perfect and every lens has a "sweet spot" (f stop at which the focus will be the best) do some research online so that you know the strengths and weaknesses of your equipment.
