Beautiful picture, we were there a good few years ago via First. Unfortunately it was foggy and raining heavily for some of the time and couldn't see the mountainous backdrop so thanks for showing us what it should look like. :)

This was shot near the Bachalpsee (Bachalp lake) above Grindlewald in the Bernese Oberland in Switzerland.Time
Taken in the early afternoon on a hike which began at Schynige Platte and finished at First before descending to Grindlewald on the cable car.Lighting
The lighting was all natural as the day was moderately bright with sun and clouds.Equipment
I took the image with a Canon 5D using a 24-105mm lens, exposure was 1/160 at /F8 with ISO 100.Inspiration
Having hiked this route many times over more than 20 years it was quite a surprise to see horses up here on this afternoon. The two riders would have had to ridden up as there are no shortcuts or roads which could have shortened the distance or climb. I didn't wish to disturb the riders who had stopped to have something to eat so I simply took a few photos before continuing our hike.Editing
