Living in the UK we see vast flocks of these Starlings in the colder months of the year and although when in flight they may make very impressive formations in the sky, they can be a total pest especially when they all appear in very large numbers and attack crops or food put out for others birds in urban gardens. They are also VERY noisy as I`m sure you have discovered ! Paul.
