Location
This was taken the wonderful area of Damme in Belgium. A small Village just outside Brugge.Time
This was taken at sunset in November at 5pm.Lighting
Obviously sunset in November is a very special light. I find that sunset are better in Autumn and spring. Timing is the most important aspect of catching the wonderful glow of a Autumn sunset.Equipment
This was taken on my Nikon D610 with a 28 - 70 mm Zoom lens taken at 28mm. Tripod used to as this was a 1 sec exposure. Also I used a graduated filter to help with the contrast from the bright sunset light.Inspiration
I was at a presentation by a very successful landscape photographer and he had taken pictures, in this area which I loved. So next time I was in Belgium I took the opportunity to visit.Editing
Very little done to this image. In my camera bag
I normally carry my Nikon D610 along with my Fijifilm x100. 28-70mm Zoom. 50mm Prime, 80mm Macro, Two Speedlights, Triggers, Cable release, Lee Filters and kit.Feedback
Timing and being in the right place at the right time. So study locations and find out when to shoot there. Use the internet to find great locations and get inspiration. But in the end with landscapes it is patience and a lot of good luck. Also when in the location use the time well and move around and shoot various views.
