I may have already asked you this ... sorry for the repeat question if I did... what editing program do you use? Your photos are outstanding!

Michael, this is an exquisite shot. Great DOF and colors with the sunlight. Beautifully composed as well and the POV is excellent. Makes me feel that I am there and witnessing this. I love how the light brings out the colors of the wood in the boardwalk. Great use of the Rule of thirds.

Location
I took this photo at Irwin State Prairie Nature Preserve which is just down the street from me in Sylvania Ohio.Time
Sunset.Lighting
I had planned ahead and used a program called the Photographer's Ephemeris which allows you to map out exactly where the sun will rise and set at any place on the map you want.Equipment
Nikon D7100 with a Tamron 12-24 wide angle lens. Manforto tripod.Inspiration
I loved the long straight boardwalk at the prairie and got the idea of lining it up with the sunset thinking it would make a really nice photo.Editing
I bracketed the exposures and took five photos one stop apart. I then took the photos and used Photomatix to create and HDR image. From there I took it into Photoshop CS6 for further enhancements to bring out the colors. In my camera bag
Spare batteries, cleaning cloths and various other lenses.Feedback
If you have a place where you think the sun setting or rising would line up with a land feature use the Photographer's Ephemeris to plan out what date would work.
