I believe this was taken mid morning around 10:30am.Lighting
The morning light still had that golden glow that really brought out highlights within the Stars and Stripes.Equipment
I used a Canon 50D with my 50mm f/1.2LUSM Lens No flash 1/1000 sec @ f/1.2 Focal length: 50mm ISO: 100Inspiration
I'm a disabled veteran and am always inspired by American art. This beautiful flag stands proud amidst the center of all the fallen soldiers who have given so much to serve their country. I saw it, and just had to capture it!Editing
Just a little bit. I prefer my pictures straight off the camera, but when I do need to make adjustments, my favorite program to use is Lightroom. I use it just to make a few lighting tweaks here and there, but for this picture I did enhance the blue and red.In my camera bag
Canon 50D, I know it's an older model, but it is really flexible, and gives great right off the camera images. Not a lot of post processing. Also, I love the 70-200mm lens as a walk around lens. I find it is easier for me to hold than to use on a tripod, plus it takes amazing portraits.Feedback
Look out for the light. Morning light has a different color than does afternoon or evening. It's more brilliant and sparkles more and has a prettier effect in your images, not so harsh. Colors also look more pastel in the morning as well too.
