A 'nurse' spider, female. She commonly inhabits a burrow, and when disturbed or on the move takes the round white ball of web (shown in image) with her by deftly rolling it with her hind legs. The ball contains hundreds of spider eggs which she will protect till they hatch. Another intresting feature are her translucent legs (also depicted).
