This was taken at The Manchester Academy during a live performance of the Italian rock band Lacuna Coil.Time
Shot late in the evening at around 10.30pm.Lighting
The lighting wasn't great as it was an indoor gig at night in a pretty small and dark venue.Equipment
Shot simply using a Canon Powershot SX10 is, no other equipment.Inspiration
I took a number of photos from all around the venue of the two lead singers but had trouble isolating this particular member of the group due to the crowd being extremely boisterous and I'm particularly lacking in the height department, so I took a gamble on standing right back behind the crowd and zooming in, and it paid off.Editing
Post-processing was mainly a small crop and altering from being a greyscale image to a sepia shade.In my camera bag
Normally aside from my camera, batteries & cleaning kit I carry a variety of filters, a compact tripod, flash, reflector,hot shoe spirit level,lense hood, macro & wide angle lenses and a small clamp.Feedback
Keep trying from different angles and distances, with a little luck you should be able to nail it.
