This photo was taken while riding a ferry to Mount Kineo in the Moosehead Lake region of northern Maine. I am self-taught, but passionate about taking images of all that I see and love.Time
This image was taken around 10:00 AM on a sunny, although chilly, day.Lighting
I travelled to this part of Maine to experience and capture the colors and beauty of Autumn. I stayed in the area for three days. Two of those days were sunny and one was gray and overcast.Equipment
I used my Canon camera to capture this image and no flash was required due to the time of day.Inspiration
I took approximately 700 pictures over a three-day period and fell in love with the Moosehead Lake area. I was born and raised in western Pennsylvania, but have never experienced an Autumn as beautiful as that in Moosehead Lake. I felt as if I was vacationing in a vivid, colorful painting.Editing
I did very little post-processing of this image.In my camera bag

I'm a passionate amateur photographer. I often take hundreds of pictures in the hopes of getting a few great images. I think of the camera as an extension of my eyes. I simply try to capture the beauty of what I see and sometimes try to find beauty in what may not be obvious to others.
