I took this photo in Asheville, North Carolina, one of my favorite cities. Asheville is full of character and charm.Time
I took this photo around 4:00 PM while I was standing in line with my family waiting for a seat at a local burger restaurant.Lighting
The day and time were perfect for lighting. It was early evening and slightly overcast. I was fascinated by this man and his friend/dog. I took numerous pictures of them.Equipment
I was downtown in Asheville, NC shopping with family. All that I carried with me at the time was my camera. I took many pictures. Asheville is a great people-watching city.Inspiration
I was fascinated by this man, his friend/dog, and guitar. I thought he was handsome. He seemed happy and carefree. I recall thinking that he had his best friend and his guitar with him and for a moment I envied the simplicity of his life. I took numerous pictures during this outing, but I was most enamored by this man. I grew up outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and my initial "attraction" was to this man's Steelers sweatshirt. I recall being inquisitive about this man's life (past and present).Editing
Yes, I did some post-processing in PhotoMatix and Photoshop Elements. In my camera bag
I normally carry my camera and a tripod.Feedback
If you see something that captures your attention, grab your camera and take numerous pictures. I often have to catch up with my group when I'm in photo mode as I'm left behind taking pictures.
