I keep coming back to this shot so many wonderful elements, where was it taken?

Location
I have wanted to take some photos of boats for quite a whilst and was discussing this with a friend and fellow photography enthusiast at work. He told me there was a good beach with boats at Meols on the Wirral, Merseyside, UK.Time
The beach is about 50 miles from where I live (North Wales) and so decided to venture out there at the earliest opportunity when there would be a low tide. Ideally I would have preferred the low tide to have been at sunrise or sunset, but it just happened to be at 11.30 a.m. on the day I planned to go.Lighting
The weather was ideal with a lovely blue sky and plenty of clouds, I couldn't have asked for better weather for that time of day.Equipment
The equipment I took with me was my Nikon D7000, Tokina 11-16 mm 2.8 lens and a very sturdy Fancier tripod.Inspiration
I originally intended to take some long exposure shots using my 10 stop ND filter, that is until I looked in my bag only to discover I had left the filter at home. Being unable to take any Long Exposure shots I decided to try my hand at exposure bracketing and HDR as I had never attempted it before. I decided to take a series of five shots starting with underexposing at -2 stops, -1 then 0 and then over exposing at +1 then +2.Editing
Normally I do most of my processing using Lightroom 5, but seeing as I wanted an HDR effect I loaded the 5 exposures into Photomatix Essentials 4.0 which was free on a cover disc on a magazine I purchased a few days before. Photomatix quickly merged the exposures together and once this was done I tweaked the photo to give it a bit of a painted effect. Once that was done, I loaded the photo into Lightroom and gave it a slight crop.In my camera bag
In my bag, I normally have my Nikon D7000, Tokina 11-16 Wide Angle lens, Nikkor 18-105 kit lens and a Sigma 70-300 telephoto lens.Feedback
I would advice anyone wanting to take photos of boats on beaches to take a good pair of wellies, the pools of water left at low tide can still be quite deep to wade through. Also be very wary of where you walk as there is quicksand in areas too. It can also get a bit breezy too, so take a windproof jacket and be prepared for the weather turning dramatically. Have fun, I did.
