Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary near Brisbane, Australia.

Time

This was taken around 9 am before the sun was too high.

Lighting

Because it was still fairly early, it gave me lots of shade from the nearby buildings but still plenty of light to take this shot hand held.

Equipment

I was using my 5D mark ii with the 70-200 @ f2.8 which delivered the fantastic compression and bokeh.

Inspiration

I just loved how this Koala looked. All snuggled in and obvious to all the people around.

Editing

The only thing I have done to this photo was to boost up the saturation and vibrancy.

In my camera bag

I usually carry a Canon 24-70 f2.8, Canon 70-200 f2.8, Canon 2X converter, polarizer and a 2 stop ND filter.

Feedback

I would just suggest getting there early so that you don’t have to combat the harshness of the mid day sun.
