I love the colors in this and the composition. But most of all I love the old boat that obviously has seen better days, but is still upright and still inspiring.

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Motueka, NewZealand

Time

It was taken close to midday.

Lighting

Apart from just being a magnificent day, no.

Equipment

Canon 600D Canon EFS 55-250mm No tripod No flash

Inspiration

It was the most picturesque day, the sky was so incredibly blue and with the sea so calm the reflections were amazing. It was just luck that I was in Motueka that day and seeing this rusty haul sitting in the middle of all that blue made it look so surreal.

Editing

Sometimes I make slight adjustments in photo room to colour, noise and sharpenss.

In my camera bag

Canon 600D EFS 55-250 EFS 18-55

Feedback

I am very very new to photography and have nearly everything to learn, this is the first camera I have ever owned so I almost feel unworthy of giving advice. I took quite a few photos this day and each had their merits but I liked this one the best, the composition to me provokes more of a story. Unlike the photos with the wreck in the middle of the picture it shows distance traveled, the surrealism that this wreck just floated in that morning, and leaves me wanting to know more about how and why this ship should find itself resting midst such purity and beauty.
