In honour of Dancers Care, this photomontage is of my close friend when I took pictures of her last year posing in ballet dancing positions. She no longer does ballet, but I have re-captured a moment combining it with an animal which is often associated with dance- a swan. This montage was inspired by the film Black Swan, where the girl actually begins to turn into the swan in her final ballet performance. After taking photos of some swans last christmas, I choose to focus and re-colour certain areas of the swan to represent it in it's true beauty, mirroring it so it would become a dress.
