Behind The Lens

Location

At Namesti Miru (Peace Square) in the centre of Prague

Time

it was a sunny winter afternoon

Lighting

just the sun

Equipment

a Canon 60D with a wide angle lens (Tokina 11-16mm)

Inspiration

I wanted to experience with polar panoramas and this was a great place for a 'small planet' look

Editing

The technique is called polar panorama, and it's fairly easy to achieve using Photoshop. I've also done some basic adjustments for contrast and levels with a touch of vibrance

In my camera bag

I enjoy having specialized lenses for each focal length and have a wide angle, a lovely fast 'normal zoom': Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8, and a tele zoom: Canon 70-200 f/4 along with the nifty fifty

Feedback

Try to find an open space with a single point of interest that stands out in the uniformity around it. For example a beautiful tree in a meadow, or a tower in a square.
