Someone had posted on another site that they needed an image of a man with his cat. I don't remember, since it was so long ago, but I think they requested a man with a tuxedo (black and white) cat. This is my younger son, (I have 2 sons) with our beloved cat named Ginger. I wanted to show the special love and affection they had for one another. Both he and the cat never wanted their pictures taken. Neither would cooperate for me. But, when I suggested that he pose with her for me to make a potential sale, he agreed. She was an indoor kitty and wasn't too happy about being outside for long. They had a very special relationship. She adored him. She was a hugger and a lover. Purred when he would walk in the door. She slept with me but followed him around the house. She would meow and purr like we were having a conversations. She has since gone on to walk over the pet rainbow. She's dearly missed.Editing
Just normal processing to make sure the color was right and for any sensor dust. Used an unsharpen mask.In my camera bag
Normally I have both my Canon cameras, EOS 1D and EOS 1D Mark ii but I recently bought a Canon 60D. I always have a flash, sync chord, bracket for the flash, external battery pack, extra batteries and SD cards. I carry with me several lenses - 18-40mm, 70-200, 28-75 and a recently purchased 50 prime lens.Feedback
Having someone who is willing to work with you and understand what you need to achieve is always nice. My subjects were easy because I knew them. Always do a pre-interview when working with new clients. Pets have to get used not only you but also to the camera being pointed at them. Let them smell it and be around it. It's always a plus if you have someone else try to get the attention of the pet. It's just like you would if you were trying to photograph a small frigidity child. To try and captures something like this takes time and patience.
