Becal, Mexico, on the Yucatan-Campeche border, is renowned for its Panama hats. Communal and individual limestone caves dot the town and it is in these caves where the hats are made. The humidity in the caves is perfect for shaping the hats - and it's considerably cooler. This man's cave was in his yard and we were taken down to see him in action.
