The title may seem strange but to call it "honestly" was also an option as honestly there were NO colour filters used here and I even contemplated REDUCING vibrance and saturation because I was concerned viewers would not believe that this is how the sunset looked. Having said that La Jolla on the way down to San Diego California is well known for the purple pink hues that can appear! So instead I decided to make the title about a private joke between me and a photographer friend of mine who I was visiting just before I made my way down just in time for this epic sunset in La Jolla. He had been joking earlier that some people in California think LA is the only place to be so when they see the name La Jolla they ask "So where in L.A. is L.A. Jolla?" I was also driving down from L.A. to see my friend stopping off in La Jolla on the way down so LA to La Jolla seems to be the perfect title avoiding any obvious references to epic sunsets as the image I feel speaks for itself in that regard and it was a memorable day with my friend even before I arrived in La Jolla!

It feels like a private cove with the smooth sand and the way the tide cuts off access to the left. I was betting D800 before I looked. Getting so you can tell, sometimes...
