Location
I took this picture right from my backyard, it's a great place for macro shot, and the commute to my computer in the living room is pretty short. Nice place.Time
Love this image as it is the one that made me do the jump in photography. I took this photo during a rainy morning around 8am and the sun was trying pretty hard to get his spot.Lighting
It was raining and the sun manage to brake in for a bit.Equipment
Shot this with an old Canon 350d I think. The rebel XT. It was my 1st digital camera that I even bought used. It came with a 18-55mm. I was handheld for this one. And I was just getting out of automatic so I was using the AP mode.Inspiration
I was getting ready for a morning bug chase with the wife and kids and since I was starting in photography I was planning to make memories of this journey. So since I did not want to wait until I get there to setup my camera i was thinking "let's go get a few shot out to setup the iso at least". Then I saw the sun reflecting on the morning dew on those plant.Editing
I did boot the saturation and the green up to make it stand out. I also darken the shadows and bring the highlights up a bit.In my camera bag
I normally carry in my bag my 7d mk2, my Canon 60d, my Sigma 70-200 2.8, my go to kit lens 18-135, 2 flash yougnuo and receiver yn-622c. 2 extra battery and some advice cards and rain cover.Feedback
To make morning dew pop you need either a bit of sun or a flash above them and not in front because you want the background to be as dark as possible. Also kneel down to get your photo from the front. Experiment and have fun! That is that main point of shooting digital. :)
