At that time, my brand new Nikon D3200 and natural sunlight.Inspiration
This was my 3rd trip to shoot in the field of sunflowers. (I was feeling a little said because the sunflowers where looking worn out because it was near the end of their season and by all the people walking through the field and brushing up against them.) I was just walking among the sunflowers and saw the sunflower's bloom slumped over with the seeds on top of it and the bloom of the sunflower behind it. I just thought it was interesting. ( It showed partly.. the progression of the life cycle of the sunflower in the shot.) Once I shot it and looked at it I thought nobody is going to get that shot but me.Editing

I'm so new at this and have so much to learn all I can say is trust yourself and keep shooting. :) (Backstory: I have only been shooting with my Nikon 3200 since September 2014. All other photography I have done was with the camera on my phone.)
