I took this photo at Bushkill Falls in Pennsylvania. I have always had a love of waterfalls and remembered visiting this park when I was a child. My husband and I decided to go there for our wedding anniversary in May.Time
This was taken in the late afternoon.Lighting
I was concerned a little about the lighting at first. It had recently rained when I arrived at the park and then shortly after I began my hike I got caught in the middle of a thunderstorm. This photo was taken shortly after the rain had cleared.Equipment

Between my love for nature and especially waterfalls it wasn't a tough decision to make. I wanted to capture the beauty of the forest while also capturing the water as it flows over the rocks. I wanted to give the sense of serenity that I have always felt when I am taking in the beauty of the falls.Editing
I did not do a lot of processing with this photo. I only did a little bit if cropping and adjusted a little bit of the brightness to try and enhance more of the details of the water.In my camera bag
I am still a professional photographer in the making so therefore I don't have a lot of equipment as of right now. At the moment I carry with me my Nikon D3100 body and two lenses, a Nikkor 18-55mm and a Nikkor 55-200mm. I also have a handful of filters and a tripod none of which were used to take this photo.Feedback
I feel when trying to capture a photo of a waterfall such as this a few tips I would suggest are a wide angled lens to be able to capture more of the surrounding nature and not just the falls themselves. A good angle, and in my case of being in a very populated state park when I shot this eliminate any people that may be around.
