Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken from my home terrace. I'm an amateur photographer and like many other shots, this one was a great learning experience for me. I don't happen to travel much so i try to make thw best of my surroundings. Nature has a lot to offer, and i try to capture that with my lens.Time
It was just before midnight. A night that shone bright due to the moonlight. I coincidentally went up for fresh air. But i make it a point to carry my camera just about everywhere, and this little habit of mine resulted in giving me this picture.Lighting
It goes without saying that this photo is entirely natural and was taken under natural lighting conditions. Even the flash was not used. The moon itself shone so brightly, looked so majestic, it didn't need any enhancements.Equipment
This photo was taken by a Fujifilm finepix S4800, aperture f/5.9, exposure 10/6800. No other equipments were required for this shot.Inspiration
Though this shot was a coincidence, moon has always been an object that fascinates me. Clicking the moon is not as easy as it seems. When I click moon shots, I try to focus on the textures and the outline. I try to show the phases of the moon clearly.Editing
This photo hasn't undergone any post-processing. The beauty of nature is the fact that it's natural. I strive to keep it that way.In my camera bag
As an amateur, in-the-process-of-learning, photographer, I normally carry my Fujifilm finepix S4800, a fujifilm finepix J20 (point and shoot), extra batteries and charger. Since I don't travel much, I don't need much.Feedback
Moon appears the same wherever u look at it from. There are very few factors thay matter while ccpturing the moon. Most important is how you set your camera to avoid noise. Since these shots are under very low light conditions, the exposure and shutter speed of the camera must be aptly set. It's always better to use a tripod, but if not, be very still while you click. There isn't much scope of changing angles so just make sure the entire object fits onto the screen in a beautiful manner with proper symmetry.
