Location
I took this image in Iceland. I love the idea of responsibility. Icelanders feel responsible for protecting their valuable nature. They feel even responsible for not harming the elves and other little folks. Therefore they build their streets in S-shape when they can protect and elves town by doing so.Time
It's on a rainy and stormy day at about noon.Lighting
Light. What is light? In the frame, we only have available light. And I can say, there was not much left :(Equipment
It's taken with my D600 + 24-120 f4. Nothing else.Inspiration
I loved the S-shaped road laying lonely ahead of us. Demonstrating the importance of the cities of little folks for the human Icelanders.Editing
Besides post-sharpening and sometimes slightly balancing lights and darks, I don't post-process my images. In my camera bag
The contents of my bag vary on the purpose of the trip. When going on a landscape photography trip, I carry my full-frame camera (35mm) and my two main zoom lenses (24-120 + 80-400), my fish-eye, and my UWW prime lenses (12 + 20mm). In addition, I usually have my set of ND-filter, a Pol-filter, a graduated ND, and sometimes a tripod.Feedback
Walk around with open eyes. Don't hurry. Let the landscape inspire you to discover things. Don't wait for a change in the weather. Go out now, instead. Each weather condition has something to tell. Go, find, and capture it.
