Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in front of Australian National Maritime Museum in Sydney.

Time

I took this photo around 6:00 pm just after sunset.

Lighting

About the lighting its all ambient light.

Equipment

I used Canon EOS 700D together with my lens Tokina 11-16mm DX II to capture this image. I did also use a tripod since I was after for a long exposure shot. The settings of my camera when I took this image were ISO-100,f/22,exposure time-82sec. and the focal length was 11mm. I also set the white balance into tungsten light so that I could get that blue effect.

Inspiration

I am really a fan of a long exposure shot since it gives you an extra effect that normal eyes can't see, so if I am in a place where there is water and lights as a background I normally go for a long exposure.

Editing

Yes, I did but it was all basic I just did increase the exposure a bit so that all the details is clearly seen and also the clarity and the sharpness as well.

In my camera bag

Normally I carry my Canon 700D together with my lenses which are Tokina 11-16mm, canon 40mm pancake and my canon 55-250mm telephoto. Also with me is my tripod and some of my filters.

Feedback

In taking image similar to this I would advice that a wide angle lens would be a good choice, play around with the white balance settings in your camera, wait after sunset to take a shot as much as possible and never forget to bring your tripod.
